1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Novita platform (the "Service"), you confirm that you are at least 13 years old, have read these Terms, and agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all users of the platform — including clients, registered experts, visitors, and administrators.

2. Description of Services

Novita is a social welfare platform providing the following services:

• Mental health and recovery support — access to recovery tracking, check-ins, milestones, and peer community.
• Expert inquiry system — connect with qualified professionals across counselling, recovery, legal aid, cyber safety, and related fields.
• Rehabilitation admission — submit, track, and receive updates on rehab center admission requests.
• Support ticketing — raise and track issues or questions with our support team.
• Community blog — read and publish articles related to recovery, mental health, and wellbeing.
• Events — information about upcoming community and therapeutic events.
• Baby care center — information and access to postnatal and child health support services.

Novita does not provide clinical diagnosis, emergency psychiatric response, or regulated medical treatment directly through this platform. Always contact emergency services for life-threatening situations.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration

You must provide accurate, complete, and current information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

3.2 Account Roles

• Client: standard user who can request services, track recovery, and engage with the community.
• Expert: a verified professional approved by Novita administrators to respond to service inquiries.
• Admin: platform staff with elevated access for management and moderation.

3.3 Account Responsibility

You are fully responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

3.4 Account Suspension

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in harmful conduct, or compromise platform integrity.

4. Expert Applications

Submitting an expert application does not guarantee approval. All applications are reviewed by Novita administrators. We may request additional credentials or conduct a verification call. Approved experts agree to:

• Provide accurate professional credentials and not misrepresent qualifications.
• Respond to assigned client inquiries in a timely, professional, and ethical manner.
• Maintain client confidentiality within the platform's private messaging system.
• Notify Novita if they are no longer available or their credentials change.

We reserve the right to revoke expert status at any time if conduct standards are not met.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Novita only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms. You must not:

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information in any form or application.
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users, experts, or staff.
• Upload or share illegal, harmful, defamatory, or sexually explicit content.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other user accounts or platform systems.
• Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access platform data.
• Interfere with or disrupt platform operations or servers.
• Share your account credentials with third parties.
• Impersonate Novita staff, healthcare professionals, or other users.

When you publish content on the Novita blog or community areas, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display and share that content within the platform. You retain ownership of your content.

All community content is subject to moderation. We may remove content that violates these Terms, community standards, or applicable law without prior notice.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of any content you post.

8. Admission Requests

Submitting a rehabilitation admission request through Novita does not guarantee placement or admission. All requests are subject to availability, clinical assessment, and administrator review. The status of your application is communicated through one-directional admin updates visible in your application detail page.

9. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review it to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

10. Intellectual Property

All platform content, branding, design, logos, and software code are the property of Novita and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the platform without written permission.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Novita and its administrators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including — but not limited to — reliance on any content provided by experts or published in the community.

We do not guarantee the platform will always be available, error-free, or secure. Use of the platform is at your own risk.

12. Termination

You may stop using the platform at any time and request account deletion via the contact page. We may terminate or suspend your access without notice if you breach these Terms or engage in harmful conduct.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date when changes are made. Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you disagree with any changes, you must stop using the Service.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable local laws. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts applicable to the project's jurisdiction.
